On 1st December 2025, Dr Rodney Chu was invited as a featured speaker at the prestigious 2025 Reimagine Education Awards conference, held at the QEII Centre in London, UK. Dr Chu shared the remarkable journey, development, and ongoing success of his project, “Engage, Empower, Excel: PolyU’s Smart Campus Innovation,” which made global headlines in 2024 by winning both the Gold Award (Smart Omnichannel Campus category) and the ultimate grand prize, the Global Education Award. This speaking engagement at the “Oscars of Education” highlighted PolyU’s sustained leadership in educational technology, building upon Dr. Chu’s track record of innovation, which also includes securing the Silver Award in 2023 for his project, “Immersive Learning on the run.”
