On 17th May 2024, APSS hosted a delegation from the Capital University of Economics and Business (首都經濟貿易大學), Beijing. The group of 20 software engineering students and 5 teachers explored PolyU’s cutting-edge immersive learning facilities.
The visit began with an introduction to the CAVE, where delegates observed a virtual environment presentation on surrounding screens. Images captured students attentively watching an expert explain the technology, showcasing the immersive nature of the experience.
Throughout their visit, delegates gained hands-on experience with immersive technologies, insight into educational and research applications, and engaged with APSS. The exchange fostered potential for future collaborations between the institutions. made the day a resounding success.
