On the 5th and 6th of July, 2023, Dr. Angel LAI and her students from the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) organized a series of Service Learning Sessions in the CAVE. These sessions were designed for secondary school students and aimed to promote self-growth and psychological discovery using Virtual Reality (VR) illustrations. The sessions provided an innovative platform for young students to explore their emotional and psychological development in an immersive, interactive setting.
Objectives of the Service Learning Sessions
The primary objective of these sessions was to use VR technology to facilitate self-reflection and personal growth among secondary school students. The immersive nature of the CAVE allowed them to engage with psychological concepts in a way that traditional methods could not offer, making the experience both educational and transformative.
